Welcome to Naturally Truro – Our outstanding nursery is nestled in the grounds of Truro High School for Girls.
Although there has always been a pre-school nursery attached to the school, Naturally Learning now provide quality childcare for babies, toddlers and pre-school children. The nursery achieved OFSTED Outstanding status in 2016. We also support families making the decision to delay formal schooling, and offer an Out of School club for primary school children.
Our beautiful nursery offers a calming but stimulating environment; a place for children to explore, learn and develop. The extensive garden surrounds the nursery and offers Forest School and horticultural learning opportunities, as children care for our vegetable patch, mini orchard, compost heap and chickens.
The nursery is open between the hours of 8am and 6pm, and is open 51 weeks of the year. We offer flexible contracts to suit the needs of each individual family.
Our nurturing Baby Room offers a home from home experience for our youngest children. With tranquil music, fairy lights, and the use of calming essential oils, we provide a relaxed environment for our babies.
Our Baby Room includes a secluded sleep and changing area, sensory and messy play opportunities, a built in sand pit, and cosy carpet areas for babies to explore.
Our well-qualified staff work in partnership with parents to ensure our children are well cared for by following the same routines as you would at home.
Our stimulating Toddler space has been specifically designed to meet the needs of our very busy Toddlers. The carefully selected resources and designated areas offer natural learning opportunities for children to explore.
Our Toddler Room includes a built in sand pit, role-play area, a climbing apparatus, carpet area, and space for messy and sensory exploration.
Our experienced staff fully understand the needs of our Toddlers, and work with each individual family in order to promote our children’s learning and development.
Our pre-school children have a beautifully designed space, which is divided into areas where children can access their own resources. Amongst the calming environment, children are stimulated by interesting learning opportunities, and encouraged to develop their creativity and independence.
Although the room is led by a qualified teacher, our ethos is to learn through play and exploration. Our children enjoy a wide range of learning opportunities through their own interests and inquiries. In addition to Forest School and regular trips, we also offer swimming and ballet at Truro High School for Girls.
